Hello!
Im sorry for my bad english but have a question about HFS! Talking about the following, I am a subscriber of the ADSL package, and I redirect a port (8080) to my (internal 192.168.1.2) IP, as link with my computer should (I think) to use external IP - I have done with these settings portokol TCP, I stopped the firewall and still the server is visible only to me! If someone has an idea of where you can come this problem, please share?

Try to follow this steps to get your server working:
Look for first time setup at the wiki http://www.rejetto.com/wiki/index.php/First_time_configuration
Steps to get your server working:
1. Switch to expert mode
2. Select the port you want to use (80 default)
3. Execute the self test (in hfs-menu)
4. If self test returns ok, skip to step 7
5. Check your firewall and verify that hfs is allowed to use your port.
6. Check if your router does forward the port to your computer (how to open ports in your router: http://portforward.com/)
7. set in menu -> start/exit -> find external address on startup
8. if you have a domain (example: brandon.noip.org) set it to custom on menu -> ip-address -> custom , then select your custon url in menu -> ip-address.
9. If you want to update your ip of your domain, define it in menu -> Dynamic DNS updater
10. Save options (recomended: to file)

Yes am satisfied all the necessary steps in this guide, yet the problem remains! Server is visible only locally tried to load an external IP but failed. This picture shows!

you can't load the external IP yourself for testing. that's a limit of networks.
for making such test you have to rely on friends, or better on the self-test.
if the test says your HFS is working, then you don't have to worry, it is.

Problem is solved!I tested the program through a proxy and is clear to me that otherwise there is no way to load that address! Now works perfectly but you have a question that arouse suspicion, not only in me, why is the question asked by defolt port (80) and therefore can not change another port? Personally tested several ports result is the same work only this 80!

I don't understand what you are asking for.. but if your question is why 80 is the default port, i hope this will help you:
As the name says, hfs (http file server) uses the http protocol. Each service used on internet or protocol has default port numbers assigned (http:80, ftp:21, telnet:23, smtp:25, imap:143, vnc:5900 ... for example) . If a service uses a different port than the default for its protocol, then the port number must be added to the address (nn.mm.xx.yy:port.

what question?

The error in question is my excuse maybe I should ask: Why use port 80 by default and how it may possibly be renewed?
I understand answer it - thank you for responded!

the number 80 was decided a long time ago, by some experts, and i don't know the reason. It may be just no reason, there was just the need to choose a number among the available one. (some were already taken)
