Hi rejetto and thanks for continuing with HFS. Great software!
I'm running HFS with wine on an eeePC901/linux xandros and it runs just fine, ideal for 'green' low energy server? Could run on solar charged 12v battery (my next project?).
The template is modified to run as both a file server and webserver at the same time, by displaying a webpage in an <iframe>. I also intend to add a webcam display too.
HFS no-ip DNS update also works perfectly with wine. 8)

HFS doesn't use much cpu or memory so I guess you could say its power efficient.

welcome!
i heard bad news about solar charing battery, like it's terribly slow

The eeePC901 runs for up to 8hrs on internal battery, I was thinking of 45AH automobile battery/12 watt solar panel plugged into external power socket. The battery should only need daytime trickle charge.
HFS could end up as part of a remote control application server-upload a script to set control parameters and show status on a web page, that's my current plan.

Would a battery of nuclear submarine make the affair? At least ten years of autonomy are guaranteed
:D ;D
