A: like the title says after v 2.2 we should be able to download a hole folder by 1 click but i still don't know how to
B:about the templates isn't there any easy way to edit them by applications like front page or dream waver

Try updating from 2.2 to 2.3beta http://www.dovedove.it/hfs/hfs232.exe (http://www.dovedove.it/hfs/hfs232.exe). This will allow you to use other templates available correctly and i believe it has a more advanced "archive method" (a.k.a folder as 1 file). Secondly templates are written in XHTML, CSS and JAVA (default is only XHTML), and so it uses smart coding to minimize image/design downloading by the users from the server (resulting in less bandwidth wasted in page loading), so it cannot be edited in such programs as u've mentioned.
PS. When I mentioned XHTML, JAVA and CSS I didn't want to imply those were your only options, but the currently used ones in templates available.

the template you use must support the folder archive download.
default template does, but maybe you are using another one.
there's no editor like the ones you says.

my 2cents: making a template takes time, not just 2 minutes. rarely people spend their time without being motivated, just because you want it. it's because their time is limited, and must be carefully spent.

Hello,
While a great feature, I need to disable it as I am sharing out about 500 very large media files with some co-workers and I have the downloads limited to one concurrent per IP address. If they can simply zip the entire folder structure at once, that kills things for me.
Other than changing to a different template, can you tell me what I'd need to do to disable the function?
Thanks for the great app: I just donated 5 Euros from my other email account. The app is worth more for sure, but it's what I can do for now.

to disable the archive feature, click on your folder(s) in hfs and open the properties. There, in Flags, deactivate archivable for the folders where you don't want people downloading the whole folder.

instead of disabling it for every folder, you may disable it for the home/root.

Maybe that persons will help you to climb the mountain, but they will never be rather stupid to carry you up to the summit. :D

there are two easy solutions to get what you 'need':
1) Do it yourself : start where Mars indicated, learn some html , css and javascript and start working.
2) Contact with the creators of your favorite site or other webdeveloppers willing to learn hfs-macro and ask for prices...
If none of the two proposed solutions is good for you, change your 'needs' and use any available template. :)
