Title: Please Help. SELF TEST SAYS IM BEHIND A ROUTER?...I DONT UNDERSTAND.

I have been using this Program to pass important info from my pc to another but now it says that "im behind a router" "ensure it is configured to port foward yout comp"....whats does this mean and how do i fix this?

In the forum, one thousand once this question was put, and thus a multitude of posts already answers it, by using the internal search engine, some hours ago of reading on this matter. :)
it will be necessary to dedicate a topic in homepage only for it. :D

hi Joe.
as the test prefaces: it's only useful if you mean to transfer the files over the internet, not locally.

if locally, you don't have to care about it.
if over the internet, HFS won't work until you adequately configure your router.
about this latter case, 98% of the posts in this board "router & ports" reports how to solve this.
