What were you doing when you got that message?  What version and build of HFS are you running?

that error message is not displayed by HFS.
you should try to google for it.
i never met such message.
did you put in HFS a folder that is not on the same computer but shared over the network?

I also get this error pretty frequently, both when downloading from HFS (downloads get canceled) and when it is sitting idle.  It sometimes freezes other parts of my computer as well.  I'm running HFS 2.2f (155).  When the error message is displayed it lists it as an HFS message too.  I am not over any sort of network.

please, answer to all questions
1. how much free space do you have on your hard disks?
2. what Windows version are you using?
3. where did you put your HFS ? desktop? usb dongle?

i google for information on your problem, and found very little.
try reading this one http://www.msfn.org/board/lofiversion/index.php/t62001.html

That is Windows related problem, it might be due to some shared drives. I get those messages even when HFS is not running
