Title: HFS help
Post by: shinigami9000 on March 01, 2009, 04:01:10 AM
I am using HFS with dnydns service. When I type my url in my Firefox browser on another computer it takes me to my router/router firmware page. My router firmware is DD-WRT.  What am I doing wrong. I also set up a static ip for my computer and are using port forwarding on my router. Thanks.

Default port for router firmware is port 80.

Limit access to setup only to access from lan and/or change default port.

Try first using HFS with a port different from 80 (with corresponding NAT and firewall settings) , then use the self-test option of hfs.

if changing port doesn't help, remember that you cannot use your dns/external address from within your LAN.
