Hi,
just tried HFS for the first time and had some problems activating *.tpl from the forum, but it worked for me to change the look of the original settings (new colors, filter to display *.mp3 files only, view the cover of an album etc.)...
Why I write this post? Because some points seems to be complicate (for newbies at least)...
* The long menu seems to be unstrructured, maybe it could be splitted into some menu entries (e.g. File / Server / User Management / Filter / Design)
* Additional to the button which toggles the expert mode some additional buttons would be fine (Server on/off, connections on/off, graph on/off)
* The implemented editor should also "understand" commonly used shortcuts (ctrl-f for find, ctrl-s for save etc.)
* maybe there is such a function here and I just haven't found it - if adding directories, it would be fine, if these can get similar settings like others (user and filter settings), maybe it is possible to copy&paste settings from an existing directory

welcome!

suggest your partitioning of the menu items and i'll consider it

that button is there because it's very important, and people must not miss it.
some other buttons appear contextually to events.
i don't see why server and graph should be taken out of the menu. you can use F4 to quickly switch off the server.
don't know what you mean by "connections off".

the internal editor has been dismissed in version 2.3, an external one is called (configurable)

there's no such function yet.
how do you think it would be?
