Hi
I've been using HFS for a while now and I love almost everything about it.
The only problem im facing is that my administrator has now disallowed me from entering ip addresses into my browser.
I've tried a program called AAFileShare (www(dot)aa2soft(dot)com/file-sharing/index(dot)htm) which allows me to just type in a word instead of an ip address.
I prefer using HFS though because of all the features available.
Is there a chance you could try and put this feature into your next beta?
Thanks alot
Ryan J

tbh what you are saying doesn't make much sense to me because my understanding of how the dns system works is that it would be impossible to stop someone entering an ip adress into a browser.
but anyway it sounds like you are asking for ddns which is already part of hfs, so try searching the forums for that and see if that will help you.

yes, it seems your problem can be solve just by using a dynamic dns system, like no-ip

Thank you for your help, i'm using HFS for a LAN network and not through the internet and I realised I was entering the computer name not just a chosen word.
