Title: HOW TO SOLVE THIS? (PERMISSIONS ISSUE)
Post by: Luis on September 24, 2008, 12:32:42 PM
Hi! Ill try to explain my problem in a simply way:

My Virtual Sytem:
    - PrivateFolderUser1  ->   User1
    - PPrivateFolderUser2 ->   User2
    - PrivateFolderUser3  ->   User3
    - PrivateFolder.....

    - publicfile1 html  ->   RESTRICT ACCESS TO ALL ACCOUNTS
    - publicfile2 html  ->   RESTRICT ACCESS TO ALL ACCOUNTS
    - publicfile....

Every user access his private folder but also these public html files. (Anonymous users cant access the public html files)

This is working nice but theres a problem!! ( or suggestion?? or my ignorance?):

When you create a new user (with his private folder) i have to press again on every "publicfile.html" and "RESTRICT ACCESS TO ALL ACCOUNTS" to include the last created account to update the system. Any solution for this?

Thanks,
Luis

yes, instead of clicking on every file,
first select all of them,
and then right click.

Hi!

I have another detail that I would like to solve!

We created all users by the "user / password" method  (no user accounts) and I want to do this i commented in the above post that wokds with "all existing accounts."

Is there any way to turn these "user / pass" into User Accounts?

Thanks in advance!

Nope.
1 create the user
2 select all folders you need to
3 assign the account
4 reset user/pass

I very much appreciate your answers and the speed to answer them. Congratulations on this great program.

Perhaps an improvement for next version?

When you click "restrict access", 2 options:

     - All current user accounts.
     - All current and future user accounts.

(sorry for my poor english, i think you understand me)

Thanks so much Rejetto
