Title: Testing build #197
Post by: rejetto on August 14, 2008, 12:48:47 PM
Hey guys, this time should be the right time to get rid of the infamous IE6 blank screen. It took me an headache.
I've also hard worked on getting bigger (and nicer) icons for files, but results are not perfect yet, and it is not included in this build. Already spent 4-5 hours on this. Darn.

download @ www.dovedove.it/hfs/hfs197.exe

what's new
+ new parameter "not as download" for macro "set item"
- IE compatibility broken in build #195 or #196
- IE6 refresh problem should be now fixed www.rejetto.com/forum/?topic=5376

HFS is great, love it!  ;D

Anyway, this last version has cleared all my settings (VFS, user accounts, etc.). Anyone else with similar problem?

Keep up the good work!

Nope, but I save all that to file, not registry, did you save to registry?

Great program.  :)

@That_Stevens_Guy

Yes, I saved only to registry until today :)
But now I've learnt that it is not a bad idea to save configuration to file as well :)

Anyway, it is funny, because a friend of mine who also uses HFS (his settings are stored in the registry only) did not experience the problem I mentioned above, so I guess it is not necessarily related to HFS, but I don't really know...

I've discovered what I believe is a bug with this build. When minimized to tray, HFS produces two tray icons (at least when someone's downloading anything from the server).
This is the link to the screenshot I made of it: e-imagesite.com/UploadedFiles/systray9211787.gif

The fine program. So to hold. Make a resource file of language of the program for its transfer into other languages. Thanks. ::)

it's not a bug.
if you don't like it, disable "tray icon for each download".

I've changed my template back to charset=UTF-8 and

nice, we can now consider it solved once for all. :)

Oops! Sorry. I didn't see that option. I thought that the only changes you've made are presented in your first post in the Build # thread. I'm guessing you don't happen to have a more detailed changelog for every build?

Anyway, sorry for that. And thank you for HFS, it's really neat!

indeed the changelog is quite detailed.
but that feature was introduced 5 YEARS ago, so you won't find it here ;)

Ah crap. I just keep messing up, don't I? (:
I just found out about HFS not more than a week ago, so I hope you bear with me and pardon my ignorance. I'll go and find that changelog now.

Yes MarkV, it is.
Though I still don't fully comprehend it, next build (199) may solve it without side effects.
