Title: Hidden folder possible?
Post by: Iceman72 on August 03, 2008, 08:02:22 AM
I´d like to share some files to friends, so i have a "Temp" folder.
But i don´t want them to see whats inside, so they have to use the link i give them to get the file(s).

So is there a way to make a folder and it´s content invisible for all except a specific user (me)?

One method
Assuming your "temp" folder is not protected or your friends have permissions
to it and that it is marked hidden. (Alt is uncheck browseable, makes folder visable,
but not contents)
Add the folder to the vfs again. HFS will give it the same name but with (1).
Set it as visable and browseable, even upload if you like, but give only
yourself permission to it by user name and password. If you mark "listed
only for allowed users" no one else will even be able to see it.
Hope that helps  :)
