Title: Port fowarding troubles
Post by: N-dog on May 31, 2008, 02:04:15 AM
I have My pc connected wirelessly to a imac G5 which is connected to our broadband router.
it looks like this:

(Internet)---phoneline---(Actiontec GT701 Router)---Ethernet---(iMac G5)---Wireless---(My PC running windows xp)

i can easily port forward from the router to the imac (and have), but cannot port forward it all the way to my computer. I have no idea of what to do. Ive done lots of research but come up empty handed of how to set this up. does anyone know how to do this? ???

You could try to use the wirelessfeature from your router and set up like this:

(Internet)---phoneline---(Actiontec GT701 Router)---Ethernet---(iMac G5)
                                                                    !
                                                                    *--Wireless---(My PC running windows xp)

This should work a lot easier than share your internet connection through your iMac.

is it running XP or OSX?

I know how to forward a port in XP when you use internet connection sharing but I dont know how to in OSX.
