Title: DDE or OLE AUTOMATION

Rejetto have you considered DDE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Data_Exchange) or OLE Automation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OLE_Automation)?

One feasible use for this is control of hfs by other programs such as when hfs is running as a service...

That would be great to control the integrated mailserver and the future DVD-Burner for automated backups. ;)

yes i thought of it, but i didn't spend time on it.
