Title: How to keep users?
Post by: alydhiends on February 07, 2008, 11:50:41 PM
Hi, I'm new here and i want to ask something.
The hfs is portable, right? When I try to use it on another computer, my users are gone.
How do I save a backup of my users list? It's fine with the rest of the settings 'coz i found the
export thing...but the users. If it's possible please tell me.

Thank You! :D

users are with settings.
then, save options -> to file

actually i have the same problem...i am about to format my PC the whole HFS and the file system is saved to file in the a folder on my C:

just wanted to ask if its possible to back that up and just paste if on the new system and relaunch HFS and reuse the saved file system?

by doing that do i still get to keep the users?

I don't run my HFS from the C:\ drive, i have reformatted many times without having to change it. If you save to file, you should be able to keep everything but the folders that you have on the C:\ drive, unless you replace them exactly the same directories on the disk.

while you keep hfs.ini, hfs.tpl (if exists) and *.vfs then you have it all.
