I have my server on wireless and it works good. If the self test works, make sure you have the ports forwarded in your router, and open the ports in your firewall...If you are trying port 80, try another port as some isp's block incoming for port 80...To try your server type in 127.0.0.1/9999 for example in your browser...Dont put 9999 lol, put whatever port You are using in place of 9999 :)

self test is probably right. What you are probably experiencing is when you enter your ip in your browser your router see's that it is a request coming from the internal network so thinks you are trying to access it rather than yourself. to view locally use your network ip address assigned to the computer hosting hfs.

to test this, try using a web proxy such as http://hidemyass.com to view your hfs internally.

This is only a guess at what your problem is because you didnt provide much information.
