When i am downloading from the HFS i can get a maximum of 35 kbs.
But some one else can also download and he gets 35 Kbs also.
In fact i can have 4 downloads running at the same time all at 35 Kbs.
So why cant i get 1 down load to run at 100 Kbs?
I have NO limits set.
Also looking at my download it shows a steady 35 Kbs, but looking at the HFS window it shows the same download jumping in speed...35,75,88,2,5,46,2,10,55,2,1,4,65, etc?
Why?

which build of hfs are you using? The latest beta builds have got improved speed.
It is possible that your isp is limiting outgoing http connections to 35kbps per thread.

I am using the newest release.
i have spoke with my ISP and they claim they have no limits on it.

as foggy told you, try last beta version because it addresses this problem.

As I said, I already have the latest release...174

For most people "latest release" is 2.2b (build #150).
So, we need to make 2 tests
1. download a file locally and read the speed
2. try another software similar to HFS, or transfer a file over MSN/ICQ, and read the speed
It would be great if you would use an external (i mean third party) software to monitor the speed.

Could be a firewall or security software limiting the speed.

i never have any speed problem with HFS
my fastest on LAN was 18.9MB/s [Giga LAN]
so am damn sure nothing wrong with HFS
in latest Beta 174 check per person speed
