Why would you set up a forum ON HFS.
Normally HFS would be used to support the forum.
Supplying download links and a way to host graphics.
Who and where is the forum hosted with?

Currently you cannot host a forum with hfs because you need PHP and a database for most forums and hfs had neither of those, Currently though in an attempt to really put the macro system to the test I have been creating a hfs back end for the default phpbb3 template.

Yeah, most forums today require PHP and a SQL database. There are also forums written in Perl that do not require a database (like YaBB2), but they aren't supported by HFS, either.
For my test forum I'm using Apache2, PHP and MySQL; forum software is phpBB3. That combination works great, but SMF is also possible.

Hows that coming Foggy? Thats a bit of a challenge, at least for most of us. (mainly just me :)

waiting for the next beta with some bug fixes before I do anything else.
Im still trying to think of a better way of storing all the post's etc because currently I am using a database of flat text files.
I'm not going to go into much detail because I don't want to hijack the thread. oh yeah, it is a bit of a challenge but I like putting myself to the test and I also want to push macro's to their limits ;D
