Post by: ruffsense on January 17, 2008, 01:55:32 PM
Is it possible to show whats in the playlist?

And is it possible to create it like a drop down menu.

I love the theme :)

Basically, every file in the file list that ends with .mp3 is in the playlist..

It's invisible. The playlist is the filelist.

okay let's recap this and lets try and explain what has been said here,

Ruffy aka. Ruffsense would like to see a play list because he got the idea that you can queue songs in a different order, in that case a playlist would be cool because you can see what song is next and such. (actually, seeing what song is next could be a nice feature in the rawr player).

Others try to explain that the directory structure you see is the play list. They are also stating that the list is a set queue and can't be modified the same as you can change the play order on a CD player. In case you can modify this order it would be a lovely option to see how the songs are queued with a real time play list dropdown.

reason for me dropping into this conversation is that i want to ask if there is going to be an option in the future for queuing songs and if so from more then one directory?

hope the post helps and would love to see a reply to my question

Cheers

You can see the dropdown menu as the filelist itself, if you want for example to start playing the fifth song, then simply press the flash logo next to the fifth song. This goes for every other song aswell.

The RAWR-Player has a build in feature that calls the next song in the actual file list, aswell as an option to shuffle the current directory (playing a random song after the current one has finished playing).

If you want a different order, then just download the songs, store them on your hard-drive and use winamp for that. RAWR-Player was basically made to 'preview' a song before you download it from the 'File Server'. With this in mind, a queue feature will never exist. You are free to script it your self however, just look at how the virtual playlist is made and make some adjustments.
