Hi.

Can anybody let me know if it is possible with HFS, to have people who access my files only using the "Open" option, i.e. not actually downloading the file, to edit the file & then HFS saves the file with the new content.
I hope that description is clear enough to understand.

To edit a file, it must be downloaded. After editing, you can upload it. You can choose in HFS if you want the uploaded file (whos name already exists) will be provided with an number or if you want to replace the existing file.

1. there's no difference for HFS between Open and Download. The difference is only on the browser side. HFS will never know.

2. even if you use Open, when you save the file it won't be put on HFS. Sorry, you have to manually upload it.
