Hy, when i try to download a file with .ts extension then i get a 0byte file and cannot download this file. Can someone help me with this problem ?
thanks Detman

What is the .ts file? One of those dvd type .ts files? What does it contain. Might be because of the unusually short file extension though.

Hallo, the .ts file is an extension for transport stream media files. When i make a record from my D-Box (Neutrino Linux) i get as result this .ts files. It contains Audio (Dolby Digital 5.1, Stereo) and the Video.
I have tryed to give the HFS a mime type like .ts/video but the result is zhe same - 0 byte :(

the extention or the content of file should never affect HFS.
i guess the problem is something else, so please describe the scenario. where does this file lie? is it a Windows system or not?

Hi, it is a normal Windows XP Prof. System.I have 2 Harddisks in my PC one is the Bootdisk and the other Disk is a Workdrive. On the Workdrive i have many folders. Some folders are full with mp3 and my movie folder contains avi and ts files. The avi files can other people download without any probs, but the ts files not.

1. what's the size of such TS files?
2. what if you try to rename them? does Windows allow it?
-
Okay, i have now try to rename this ts files in avi - it´s the same prob.I can´t download them. The filesize is 3-4 Gb per file.

i guess your problem is in the software you are using to download. It doesn't support big files.
What are you using Internet Explorer 6 ?
-
Hi, No - i´m using IE7 :)

from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298618/en-us
There is no workaround to enable Internet Explorer 7 to download files larger than 4 GB in size.
Try firefox 2 or another, and see if the problem is solved.

Better yet use flashget or similar dl-manager.
