Title: MP3 streaming problem
Post by: Jason on January 03, 2008, 01:20:15 PM
I use HFS to host a lot of MP3 files on one PC, and use Foobar2000 to play them
on another one, HFS works just like the Media Server.
However, every time the song (MP3 file) about to end, Foobar2000 stop playing.
(the last 10 seconds are missing)
First, i think its Foobar2000's fault, maybe a bug or something.
So i switched to MPlayer, but with no luck...
then i setup Apache to serve my MP3s, this time it works, songs played completely.

So, what's the problem, is this a bug in HFS?
Maybe HFS closes the connect too early?

i installed foobar2000 v0.8.3
add location
put an URL of my local HFS
the mp3 played till the end with no problem.

is it a good test?

It will be hard for me to collect enough information on this bug, then.
Did you try VLC ?
