Title: Unable to login now?
Post by: larry on December 10, 2007, 09:37:10 PM
All of the sudden all user accounts cannot login. Nothing has changed on the pc or .vfs file. Just one day nobody's password will work. Self test passes and i can get the login prompt. But not even the admin's password works. Should i delete the .vfs file and start over? HELP...

Thanks

Passwords aren't in the VFS, they are in the INI I believe.  Permissions are in the VFS.  However, I would first check to see if your users are still defined in HFS, and that they still have access permission to the appropriate folders.

It is confirmed: a destroyed(annulled) account lose all its authorizations

it seems that you have lost the accounts (probably because you lost your ini file).
menu -> other options -> accounts
and see what's there

if you lost your ini, you can just re-create the accounts in the panel, the permissions are not lost and don't need to be re-set (while you keep using the old usernames).
