Title: beta 146 Experimental High Speed Handling
Post by: maverick on November 25, 2007, 02:49:25 AM

Turned on my default.  This feature never worked well for me.  To many highs and lows.

Anyway, when I turn it off and restart system, HFS doesn't remember my previous OFF setting.

Please fix.  Thanks.

I'm searching for a setting that will fit everyone.
Can you furnish some numbers of your connection?
And how the problem works on different download speeds.
And if you use the speed limit.

No I don't use the speed limit.

What about "when I turn it off and restart system, HFS doesn't remember my previous OFF setting"?  I'm not sure the type of behavior you want here but is experimental high speed handling going to be optional or is it a forced on setting?

Sorry rejetto, but I don't have the time right now to do that type of testing.   When I have some numbers, I can re-post.

as i said before, i wish to have a perfect setting that would fit all.
in this perspective the option would be useless.
from another point of view, i don't have the right setting yet, and i don't know when i will. :(

setting the option ON for everyone made me know that it is not good enough yet. I hardly would have known that otherwise. That's why i'm uncertain about saving the option at this stage.

i'm going to spend some time on it right now, and see if i can get rid of this problem.
