as long as your options are being saved when you exit hfs I cannot suggest anything else to do because thats what is supposed to be done and hfs then loads them again on start.

You might have missed this ...

Menu -> Start/Exit -> Reload on startup VFS file previously open  (enable)

the template has nothing to do with VFS

you may be facing a problem due to chinese characters in the template.
try this test
1. start hfs
2. edit template
3. type "test"
4. restart hfs
5. see if "test" is still there

I just found the key to this problem.

it's the chinese word.  if you use chinese word in the template, it can't auto reload next time, you must reload it manually.

I delete all chinese word. everything goes fine!

The template is supposed to work with chinese words while you use words of the same codepage of your system.
So, you are using unicode characters (not supported yet), or it's a bug.
If you want we can go on on this problem and see if it's a bug or not.
