hi all
I use HFS to share my movies, photos, mp3 ...
these files people usually play it online. no need to download it to local disk.
I can not find the option to enable online play.

it all depends on the template that you are using. You can either use a template that already has the ability to play the files you want or you can create your own.
What types of files are you wanting to play?

We are currently discussing DivX web player, VLC web player, these both play avi/divx/xvid/other style videos over the internet, we are also discussing flash flv playback in this thread, it is related to my template, but there might be some useful information for you there.

Some movie file, like .avi, .rmvb, .mkv,...
I hope guest click the filename , or "Play" button beside the filename, then the player come out, to play it online .
I had a look of the temp edit . but the key staff is %list% , I can not edit the list any more.
Is there some tutorial about this ? or example (better).

I want to do is that :
guest click the filename , or "Play" button beside the filename, then the player come out, to play it online .
this player is on the guest's pc, not in hfs, not in template.
the "Play" button on the page is just a link. it call player installed in guest's PC to play this movie.

The DivX web player is the best solution for .avi , .divx, heeding caution of what we talked about in that thread. The real player plugin is the one you want for .rmvb, and I think VLC would be an overall player for all the files, don't count on that statement though, a simple Play button is impossible, its always more complex than we'd like.

it can work, and i do some necessary change to make it better for me.
hfs is a greate stuff. it's more powerful than my prefigure. i love it
