Title: Prevent Leeching
Post by: maverick on June 13, 2007, 02:30:38 AM
1.  With prevent leeching enabled, and HFS detects a leeching event, what happens or what is supposed to happen?  Does HFS send a scripted message to the user, drop connection, ban the IP, log the event... ?

2.  Is there a way to test that the "prevent leeching" feature is working properly?

3.  Also, does the "allowed referer" feature have to be enabled for the "prevent leeching" feature to work?

I guess this post is to rejetto.

2. hmm, yes, we may just test locally with several download managers. i didn't do it yet. would someone help reporting his experience?
