Title: help, keep disconnected when downloading
Post by: riow on April 16, 2007, 07:49:04 AM
I'm using 2.1d 086 and have just upgraded to 2.1d 088.  I found that both version of HFS keeps automatic disconnected while downloading files.  The disconnected error messages keep the same as shown below:

Disconnected by server - 3081 bytes sent
...
Disconnected - 8652305 bytes sent

The total bytes sent are varied when disconnected, but all in all no files can be downloaded successfully when the file is huge.  My family members are only preliminary computer users who don't know about how to use downloading manager.

How can I solve the issue please?

Hi, I notice that when download speed is slow (not inactive) from some parties, frequent disconnection will happen, but it won't happen to those with high speed download.  I'm not sure if HFS may treat those slow download as Connection Inactivity Timeout which is now set to be 120 seconds.

Could anyone please help me?

disconnected by server means that HFS broke the connection, for some reason. for example, when a download is finished.

disconnected is very different, and HFS made nothing to close the connection. it is a problem of the network or the client did it voluntarily.

Thanks for the reply.  I'll keep an eye on it to see what's going on.
