Open Ie or firefox and type in http://192.168.0.1/ then use your password or type in admin. When the page loads go to Advanced. Here is the trick when u load hfs u see that address it shows in my case its http://192.168.0.101. Rember your address hfs shows. Now click enable on dlink page. Were it says name type in what you wish. Now were it says privet ip type in the like address hfs gives You as soon as u start it just remove the http:// part. Next Protocol Type pick tcp now the port part if u want it on port 80 type in port 80 in the last 2 slots if that doesnt work try port 81. now click always then apply. Now your all set up. Easy and fast enjoy

Is it OK with you if i add this to the wiki?

herbiman,
I know you are relatively new to this forum but maybe you aren't aware that there is a site dedicated to setting up routers with HFS and other software. There are so many makes and models of routers and the port forwarding configs vary.
You might find this site helpful. Maybe all that is needed in the wiki, if it isn't already there, is the address to cover all routers.
http://portforward.com/routers.htm

Thanks Maverick.
We do reference port forwrad several times in the wiki
http://rejetto.com/wiki/index.php?title=First_time_configuration
but rojetto (and me) think we should also a little specific info where we can.

Moondog, i've added your info to the wiki.
http://rejetto.com/wiki/index.php?title=HFS_Frequently_Asked_Questions_%28English%29
It's ver near the end under "How go i congigure my router / firewall".
Please check it over and add your comments to the Discussion page, or post them here.

but rojetto (and me)
i wonder who this rojetto is ::)
anyway, i think in the future i could implement some system that, after the self-test, can bring you directly to the right HFS page on portforward.com
HFS could extract the list of router models from the site itself.

I forgot that one of the most endearing characteristics of developers is their delight in pointing out single-character typo's.
You port-forwarding idea is, of course, wonderful. Nevertheless, for the sake of my sanity, think we should document it as it is now (ie 2.1) -- but likely future developments are worthknowing about to balance the time.
