Post by: AdamKun on August 08, 2006, 07:41:35 PM
My page is up and running people can visit and download but if i try to view my page internet explorer says it cant be displayed, same with firefox. But it does work if i use my internal isp address. Is there something i need to do to veiw my own external address?

or if you want to, you could always use a proxy to view it, just to make sure the links are really working. That's what I do :)

Yep the 'hosts' trick.

For Windows 9x: C:\WINDOWS\hosts (may not exist, copy from hosts.sam)

For Windows 2k/XP: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\drivers\etc\hosts

insert an entry like this:

<your LAN IP> <your domainname without http://>
