Post by: HELP!! on July 30, 2006, 07:16:18 AM
i go to log into the IP adress for my server that i have opened..
It comes up with a password promt. i put in every password and user name i have ever used.. Nothing
i go back into HFS .. set all the files i have on the server to have a password of admin with a user name admin
i try and go to the site .. another password promt that does nothing.
i have the correct ports forwarded.
in HFS i FINALLY notice an option sayin User Profiles..  I add a user.. called admin ..  with a password of admin..    go to the site addy.... a password promt comes up .. nothing i enter works... WTF???? can someone please help me i am getting very frustrated. does anyone know what this elusive password may be?
when i push the test button it reckons that it passes.
what password is this thing looking for?
it makes no sense and couldnt be more unclear.

What you describe can happen if:

1. You have a router, and
2. You are attempting to connect from 'inside' with your 'outside' address or domainname.

It could be that you're getting the login dialog from your router...

yes, use 127.0.0.1 when you browse your hfs locally
