Hi, I was thinking about a cool and simple feature for HFS:

a shoutbox in the web interface where users can leave a message,
nothing about complex forum-like things, no storage of messages:
you just type your nick and a message, and all shouts cleared on program exit.

Could be useful when you have a lot of users accessing your hfs-server, allowing everyone to interact, with simple comments, such as: "file part ## is missing" "uploading failed" and so on; all without any particular im software or email, especially useful when getting files with mobile devices  B)


any comments  :D ?

As far as I understand, this can't be done without php or CGI script.

A method that might not be too hard to do would be to have someone write a HTML template that looks for a comment.txt file which you can download and edit and upload back onto HFS. Using a HTML template, HFS can read that txt file and display it as a shoutbox.

Thatz how comments on files currently work as for as I know.

Gotta find someone to write the HTML template for you though.

Does anyone know MyWeb?
It supports 'GuestBook', Chat, community.
May be we can see it in next vision of HFS.

ISt real easy man. you just point  cilck  cilck  cilck  cilck  cilck  cilck, and you will get naked chicks all over there man.

Or go to HFS Teplates. Thunderchicken of Glory template. Read. and wohila. Even with css ToG if you want.

I agree ny man. That Shoutbox makes your hfs alive. And if that dos not help, That Stevens guy is the man.

But be gentel, he has answer that question many times. Its real esyy, if you do it withj ToG. Just doit man, you can doit!

In MyWeb, it's really interesting the possibility to zip a whole folder, then download him  ;) and also others features (thumbs and so on)

These behaviours should be implemented also in HFS  ???

nice software myweb, i added it to the wiki in the "similar software" list.
it costs 20$.
zip folders are already implemented but i stopped fixing it 'cause of my graduation. i hope it won't take long.
