how do i keep my HFS server on when i turn my computer off?

That's not possible. A server can only serve data when it's running. If you want a 24/7 availability rate, you have to install it on a machine which is up 24/7.

Note: That concerns EVERY server, not just HFS.

Period.

You could use a very old or cheap pc to keep it running.

Then you could use a program like VNC to monitor and control it, and you can use that computer for various tasks, like a printer server, or bittorrent. etc.
