Title: Connecting two HFS's on same LAN, @ same time, possible?
Post by: woodzy on May 31, 2006, 12:44:17 PM
Hey guys, I'm trying to connect two HFS's at once on two seperate comps on the same LAN I have one on my laptop on port 80 which is working fine and one on the PC on port 6120 (which is forwarded and all) however it just times out; any ideas? I'm using a NetComm NB5plus4 just incase that helps.

Cheers

you just got to follow the instruction on www.portforward.com for both computer, but taking care of specifying the right port, that can't be the same for both

i can't be clearer than that guide
Title: Internal Network

I seem to be able to access it within the network by using my computers internal IP address followed by the port, i am using a D-link 302g so my IP within the private network is 10.1.1.10 and to get to my server, i use 10.1.1.10:100 in the address bar of my browser on the other computer. Works perfectly :D
