My computer (on which HFS is running) has the fixed IP
192.168.0.10 in the inhouse-LAN.
However when I startup HFS it shows the IP address
192.168.37.1
Why does it not use the already given IP?
When another user want to access HFS: does he have to enter
the *.0.10 or *.37.1 IP ?

What you are showing looks like your internal lan IP address. For anyone to access your server from the net you have to give them your external IP address.

just select it once, and HFS will remember it.
anyway, the other one is just another of your addresses. any PC can have many addresses.

They can use any address that is assigned to your computer as long as they are in the same network/subnet. If both addresses are the same subnet you they can only use the address that is on the same network.
