Title: Domain users?
Post by: Hlloyge on February 19, 2006, 10:26:37 PM
Is there a possibility to add domain users in the user list for accessing one folder? Instead of creating one username and password, that domain users can access that folder?

No, not user groups. I don't know if you are familiar with concept of NT domains, but when on domain (you know, on login screen, username, password, domain) there can be many users who log on onto their computers with their own username and password; they can't log in if they aren't autentified with domain controller via active directory.
I'd like to have a possibility to add only a few users from active directory into userlist for one protected folder, so they would use the same username and passwor which they use for autentification on domain... I hope I've explained a bit. Keywords: active directory, domain :D
You made great program, if you could add this, it would be a smash hit.

Thanks.

I am sorry I've been away for so long; broke a leg :?
Yes, I am asking for HFS to read users from NT domain, and use their domain passwords for entering password proected areas.
I think I saw this on your to-do-list (+ windows auth (see ultravnc) )... I think that's it.

Thank you.
