Is there anyway I can make a folder downloadable.I would like to be able to share a whole folder as one download.
-
Not as of yet. But you can always share a zipfile instead. And adding files to a zipfile is easy too, just drop stuff in it.
-
Workaround:
Create a folder on your disk to download to (evtl. same name as folder you want to DL);
use Opera (fastest browser on earth, free now) and open the folder you want to download completely);
Press CTRL+J and highlight (all) the files you want to DL; rightclick your selection and chose save target as; select the folder you want to download to and go (Only one file is indicated, but all highlighted files will download).
Original tip from Rejetto! :^:
PS
But most servers will kick you if you do a simultaneous DL of many files.
Therefore there is this feature called "maximum contemporareous/simultaneous downloads".

Hello, heres another workaround
Browser: Firefox 1.5 (free) only 5mb in size
Browser extension: DownThemAll (free)
The name of the firefox extension is rather self explanatory it enables you to download all the files from one page/inside the folder at once with out having to click on every file and downloand them indavidualy.
DownThemAll integrates into the firefox browser so you don’t need any external download manager/ accelerator.
