Title: can it set proxy?
Post by: Yatong on December 08, 2005, 09:51:31 AM
:D
This is a very useful program. In my company, there is firewall and proxy. So, no one can link to me, besides me.

Is there any solution for me to setup the wonderful program?

No, there is no possibillity to set a proxy. You cannot setup HFS to WAN without the help of your Admin.
You can definitively use HFS within your LAN, but you should read the company rules first!

B) Didn't know that possibility, yet.

So, in theory  ;) I could establish a VPN connection via HTTP on port 80 through my heavily firewalled and proxy'd company/government/organisation/whatsoever-LAN and share the LAN with the "outside world" without interception of 3rd parties? 8O    :)  :D
There must be a drawback, at least the ongoing traffic from and to my IP.

Hamachi cannot be used from behind proxies. Eventhough it might be
possible to make it connect to the server, it will still effectively prevent
any p2p connectivity.
To nice to be true  :(
