hi,
i want to make a comment to the subfolders from my "addFolder (Realfolder)".
...in HFS 2.0 beta23 i cannot open the subfolders to change icons and make comments...
...my virtual folders have subfolders too, and there i can open it and make comments...
somebody can help me or give me a link to another topic ;o)
...by the way: very nice tool!!!
...thx :D

You can't enter any comments for real folders' subfolders as they are not stored inside the VFS, the lists for real folders are generated on the fly.
@rejetto: In todo you mentioned "comment files using X.EXT as comment for file X". Couldn't this be done also for real folders? You know, inserting a file like ".dircomment" that won't be shown in lists but used as comment for the directory it resides in... :?:

What I mean is a textfile with the comment in it is placed in the real folder. This file is recognized by HFS, hidden in file lists, but contents are used as folder comment. You know, like the famous .htaccess files. We could even have a special syntax in there! Sorry for the confusion (http://www.rejetto.com/forum/images/smiles/angel.gif)

ah, then a single file instead of many?

OK. Imagine we have a realfolder named "Folder1". I place a file named "Folder1.comment" (or similar name) into this folder. HFS uses the contents as folder comment but hides "Folder1.comment" in folder list. So you will be able to comment every real folder, even if they are not stored in the VFS. For virtual folders, the current system is the best.
