Title: blocked port(s)
Post by: the doctor on December 08, 2004, 07:00:28 PM
I have found that charter blocks port 80, 8080, 21, and a few others, now if I switch to say 666, if hfs is working properly, I should not be able to access it locally? Is this correct?

When working properly only remote users can access hfs?

 Does anyone know?

thanks

You should be able to access your HFS server locally or remotely when the server is working correctly and the port is not blocked by Charter.

Yes, after I switched to a non-blocked port, all is well.
