Title: Alpha 22 - No port in URL
Post by: Anonymous on September 18, 2004, 04:48:21 AM
When I select the "Don't include port in URL" option in HFS v2.0 alpha 22, I can't log into HFS either locally or remotely.  However, no problem logging in when I include the port number in the url as before.

How is that new option to not include the port number in the url supposed to work?  What's the purpose of it?  Is it supposed to just hide the port number used and still allow access when just the IP number is used in the url?  If so, it doesn't work here.  Using Opera.

Help!

No, you MUST leave the option off if you're using a non-standard port.
This feature is designed for users using 302 redirection services.

Thanks for the reply.  I wasn't aware of that.

Are there "updated" docs somewhere describing the various functions/options of the current build of HFS?
