Title: netscape 7.1
Post by: VIP on January 27, 2004, 02:04:07 AM
It appears that netscape 7.1 will not work properly with hfs to open .htm or .html files properly. When I try to view a .htm or .html, netscape 7.1 tries to open the file.

Quote
The file "home.html" is of type text/html (HyperText Markup Language), and Netscape does not know how to handle this file type. This file is located at:"

I am running Http Filer Server 1.6 rc10, and have had the same problem in the latest 1.5 release too. Netscape will only attempt to download the file. I have deleted the hfs registry entries, and started HFS fresh with only the html to open, and it continues to reproduce the problem with default settings.

Awesome... It appears to produce that problem for any type of file actually... be it swf, jpg, htm, html etc...

Right now I am working on the mirc plugin with just the live logs feature in hfs1.6 rc10

current capabilities:
queue system via mirc
3 fails and remove system
ability to "detect" wether a use has completed, or is still downloading
relate ip address to an mirc nick
automatic random user/pass generation to text file

capabilities to come once a modifiable live user/pass file system is incorporated to hfs:
modify the live ip user/pass to give access to users

end product:
-prevents unauthorized/queued users from downloading
-choose how many downloads a day, or how many mb/kb/b allowed to transfer per day, and or per user (in the mirc system)
-customizable notice warning users that max transfer has been reached.
-download retry system (3 strikes)
-adjust how many active users allowed to download via mirc system (1,2,3,etc..)
-random/ip specific username/pass generated
-most requested file listing (maybe)
