I am using HFS 1.6 RC1 and have added a couple files that are internet shorcuts. They list the url extension. If you remove the extension, the shortcut no longer works. the file is still pointing to the correct shortcut on my hard drive but it does not promt to open or save like it does when the url extension in on. Does it matter that the url extension is there if the file it is pointing to does?
:P

where are you removing the extension? in the VFS or directly on the file itself?

I added the shortcut into the root of HFS and removed the extension from there. The shortcut itself is still intact and works outside of HFS.

i guess you are using Internet Explorer.
it does recognize the link cause of the .url extension and not by the content.
i guess the best solution is to create a link inside HFS instead of using the .url file
Maybe we could have an automatic conversion of this kind of file.

This works for me. I was just wondering if it was doing what it was suppose to or not
