excellent software, there's a small bug in hfs 1.5e
when it autoloads a previously saved file system with a drive that no longer exists or is disconnected, it will crash without the possiblity of you disabling it. the only solution is to delete the registry key with the settings in it.
-
i tried to reproduce the bug, but nothing
what windows are you using?
little tip: you can keep SHIFT pressed to skip configuration loading (file reload included)
-
I can reproduce it:
and i need no non existing drive.
simply open the programm, click on 'save file system...' and save your current settings to any file.
know, click on 'load file system...' and choos this saved file.
close the programm and open it again.
now, try to close it or try to click on the 'menu' button and you will get crazy error messages.
after this yout programm sttings are not reseted to default, they are reseted to NOTHING, you have to delete the registry value or the INI file to become back the normal settings.
hope you can fix this :)
-
if you play long enouth it works without this errors, but if I do this with a fresh version (no saved files in the registry) I can reproduce this.
you should check your loading/saving method of the programm settings.
sorry for my english :#)
nice program, hope you make it multilanguage ;)
-
ok, i know why it works at somebody and at somebody not.
if you do it like i write it in my 1st post then you will get the errors, except you have 'auto save' on.
-
ok, the last post is wrong, I plaed around and now I got this stupid error again. it's something with the recent files.
-
i did as you said, but i was not able to reproduce the error
what Windows are you using?
-
Windows XP pro
and now I have played with it, so that I didn't get th errors anymore, I have pressed shift when the program will save something after I make some changes, close the program and open it again and make my change again and close without shift.
not a good solution, hope you found the bug. :?
-
it will be hard to fix it unless i get the bug on my system
-
hm right, all I can say is that its something that comes up after loading some vfs file.
other bug: If someone download a file with a download manager like flashget, and he downloads 5 or more pieces at ones, the percent status bar is incorrect
-
I am using windows XP pro. It happened when I had a number of files on drive D, an external USB drive. it auto saved the VFS on exit. I exited, disconnected the USB, and tried to open, and it crashes when running.
