Hi
I've been experiencing HFS b287 intermittently crashing after a few days of uptime.
There are no error messages it just appears to bombs out for no apparent reason.
When it crashes the tray icon remains displayed until you hover the cursor over it, then it disappears.
Also after saving the file system manually it does not always appear to commit the latest changes to file.
I would guess it's restoring the file system from .bak file after a crash and restart.
Apart from this, congrats on a neat little file server. :D
Windows 8.1 x64
HFS set to run as admin.
Currently testing b288.

it will be very hard to comprehend why it is happening.
I would focus on a workaround.
Another process restarting HFS when it's off?

Thanks for the reply, I'll keep a eye on it.
Build 288 has been up and running for 3 days so far without falling over which is looking promising. :)

No it all looks good here for file types: .iso .zip .7z .exe .mp3 .mp4 .rar .mkv .pdf .nup .ver
Mine did crash out again.
I think it has something to do when you try and ' save the file system... ' in Windows 8.1 and your running HFS from ' Program Files (x86) ' directory.
It appears to works, but not too long after doing that HFS crashes and lose your latest file system changes. :-\
That's with HFS set run as admin and UAC turned off / don't notify.

the version change means nothing, no change was made addressing your problem
