Title: Can I run HFS without a web page? (file url's only)
Post by: Burma on May 05, 2013, 08:01:50 PM
The "Add to HFS" context menu item along with "Auto-copy URL on addition" serves my needs.  I don't need or want a web page a user can browse.  Not even if I password-protect the page.

Is it possible to run HFS that way?  I couldn't see that in the list of options.  Sorry if this is answered elsewhere - I searched.

I suppose you could just replace the entire template with a {.disconnect.}

Other option is to have a html page set to Root, which just displays an image or few words
a robots.txt which blocks all user agents bots like Google etc

As the main page has no links, all the pages subfiles you added from "Right Click" add to hfs
will not be found unless someone has been given a direct link..
So a subpage could be the one served from hfs, controlled by the hfs template
and showing a list of files / uploads

Index looking like this
