HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Prevent Outside Access, LAN only
« on: December 24, 2007, 11:05:53 PM »
What would be the best way to completely deny access to HFS from any computer that is not located in the LAN. I know that you can ban every IP except the ones you specify, but that doesn't really disconnect your server from the internet, it just refuses to show anything. There is also the "Accept Connections on -> 192.168.my.ip" but unfortunately that doesn't stop the connections. It seems to do nothing at all, when I ask friends of mine to try and connect they were still able to(yet the "Accept Connections on->127.0.0.1" works perfectly, only the host computer can access it.)

Well, thanks for this wonderful software rejetto and thank you to anyone who answers.

(If I'm not very clear tell me, and I will try to explain more clearly.)

Bug reports / monoLib error: no reply
« on: March 24, 2007, 08:09:06 PM »
I'm not exactly sure of what I did because I was doing a lot of different things with HFS but now when ever I start HFS and click Menu -> Uninstall HFS it does the normal thing, asking me if I'm sure and then it opens a command prompt and there is a script there telling HFS to delete itself and then an error comes up saying monoLib error: no reply

Once I click OK the error goes away and HFS finishes uninstalling itself.

I hope I made this clear enough, one thing that I was playing around with was ledufe's HFS service creator (or whatever it's called) there is an article about it in the wiki.

Other than that little error nothing else is wrong.
