What software do you use to run this message board?  Simple Machines?  Is it easy to set up and manage?

One of the most difficult tasks managing a forum or message board, is to achieve that people:

a) ask on the adequate forum

b) use search machines like google before posting questions not related to the forum

c) use the search function in the forum to see if anyone else had the same problem and perhaps find
    there the answer to his question.

Needs PHP and MySQL. Not hard to configure.
