Every connection's displayed speed is very not steady. Top speed is twenty times higher than my normal speed.

But I think the really speed is fine.

I got the same thing, two instances of the update to 131, but I have no problem with it, thanks rejetto.

I have this problem always, not only b 131.

I have problem only with b131.

the picture show another strangeness. Transfered data is always 524,288 and 1,048,576 and more bigger numbers, all they are divided exactly by 524,288

i just updated from 130 to 131 and had the usual 2 dialogs, the first saying me that there is an update, the second offering me to update.
if you don't get this, please furnish screenshots.

that is 512kb, that is the maximum sending buffer for HFS.
are you experincing problems with that? do you think that numbers are not real?

+ kbps in bandwidth graph

Are you planning to implement the graph editing option about which there was a thread a while ago? ..to let the user deside what info the graph would show (and using which colors). Personally I don't like this "--- 7040 kbps" text there at all.  :( I'm able to convert KB/s to kbps in my head naturally :P

if it hurts more people i can make it optional (enabled by default)

Why does this gui header bar flicker (blink)?  Is it by design?

I have witnessed this behaviour...

Some sort of updating of the content conflicting with the bar?

there's no flickering on my system, but i do actually refresh it every second because of a bug of that bar.
i cannot fix it so i found this workaround.
i will lower the refresh to 0.1hz (that is every 10 seconds ;)).

Oh ok, nice. :) the flickering usually is only visible every now and again, usually just after i launch HFS.

The flickering is constant here and annoying that's why I asked about it.  Lowering the refresh to once every ten seconds should help.

Can you please add UPnP into your program? Please i really need it, because i use your program just every day and i don't want to waste 5 minutes everyday to open and closing ports. Please add it!
Title: Re: Testing build #131
Post by: rejetto on September 07, 2007, 12:38:18 PM

Ok, i'm sorry anyway i don't know why i see the progress of each download made by user scaling not in real time but every 5-10 seconds :(

Just using this beta ;)

ti riferisci alla pagina ~progress del browser o alla finestra di HFS ?

Its possible, that HFS block since #131 the access to a file ?

If HFS running and i want to delete a file (on Widnwos Explorer) they say, another program use this file. If i close HFs, i can delete the file without problems.

If a file is in use by any program, it can't be deleted while that program is running.  However, there is a good freeware utility called 'Unlocker' that will do this for you.

You can get it HERE (http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/).

someone else already reported this bug 2-3 months ago.
it is a bug for sure, you just have to tell me how to reproduce it,
or at least give me more information about this file you cannot delete. what did you do with this file?

@maverick

I know this tool, its very useful. An this say me, hfs locks the files.

See:
http://traxxus.dyndns.org:100/Guests/hfs_lock_file.png

@rejetto

I try to reproduce it. Its not only one file. If hfs lock, then are all files locked in the folder.

Yes try to reproduce - that sounds like a bug if hfs is locking all files in a folder.  So far, that hasn't happened here.

Hey, got a new bug with 131.  If limits arent set then there is no updating Time left and the progress bar is not accurate, its too late to post screenshots, if no one else has this i'll just wait for 132 or redownload 131 but does anyone else have this, for me its usually it sits like its not downloading at all for a good 5 seconds and then jumps to 512kb down then goes away and does this throughout the entire download.

With limits set it shows the data in realtime.

This has probably been carried over from previous versions, but just noticed it now. When right clicking on a folder in the virtual file system pane, it says "Hide file extention in listing"...should be extension.

I THINK i found the reason for HFS locking files - is anyone downloading a file from HFS , i can't delete the downloaded file in windows explorer.

if a file is downloaded, it is locked. this is normal.
but you said that also other files in the same folders are locked. are those files downloaded at the same time?
Title: Re: Testing build #131

i guess this speed/progress/updating problems are related to the "improved performance" introduced in this build.
i will investigate.

No sorry, its not true thats every file is locked. But every file which is downloaded, cannot be deleted.

salut,

Tempted to check how fast Hfs can do with #131 ... I found out it was impossible to get to Hfs through "login" - everything else was fine -    ??? Hfs keeps replying :  "replying"   :-[ Checked also with #133 : same  ... so I went back to #124.

I'm glad we can move so easily back and forth between versions  ;D
