You started posting that you use the standard template.. later you say that the pages of your site are done in dreamweaver.

Does your site work ok with a standard template? (try a clean install after asving your work)

If your pages created with dreamwaver include some special functions  for example style - filters, keep present that IE7 and firefox don't support the same functions and when, often not in the same way.

Features like "?offset=nn & limit=mm" are interesting, but almost useless if we cant' access those values in the next page loaded.

We have here an example why we need same values asociated to the user, as I tried tu explain in my post

about userparams and %lang%. With the feature of tree params or variables, we could well control where in the great list of files we were located by passing the current ofset.

%lang% and for example 2 values "upar1" and "upar2" , accessible in the template as %lang%,%upar1%,%upar2% in the same level as %user%.

The values could be set with ?lang= , ?upar1=  etc. If not set, the values should be void.

Would this be difficult tu implement?

I regret, I can't, because I never recomend a program or patch that was not tested by me or a reliable friend of mine.

Try to google for example with "explorer conection limit" ... good luck!

But don't forget that's not on serverside where the limit is - the limit is on client side. ¿do you want that your visitors patch or modify their explorers only to download more files simultaneously. If your upload-speed isn't  higher than some 100 kBps your visitors won't have any benefit from having more conections. When a users conection download-speed is higher than your upload bandwidth, more conections will only slow down data-flow.

Vedo che fai la tua guida con word. Una proposizione: in vece da pubblicare un documento word, quando finisce, 'stampa' un pdf con PDFcreator. (buon freeware!). Cosi li utenti senza word possono vederla anche.

IE 7 and firefox limit the trafic to 2 simultaneous connections to one server-ip or proxy.

It seems to be a http1.1 recomendation. There are some patches that can change this values in the net.

But in case of a home-server (even with a good DSL) the total troughput will not increase significantly with more connections, it may even decrease as each connection needs resources.

I think there is no need for special moderators. I don't fear that this part of the forum will go out of control. I hope that there are enoungh people here with the needed common sense (btw. the most uncommon sense!) to report strange behaviour to the moderator.

The most important thing is to see clear the meaning of the multilingual forum. The goal is not to have a separated or paralel forum. I see it more as a way for non-english writing people to get some support in their own language. A lot of people can understand (with less or more difficulties) some english, but they are not able to express them clearly.
This forum then permits them to explain problems or propositions in their native language. This will be easier to understand than the same explication in bad english. To understand what the poster wants to say is almost half of the answer.

Some simpler questions could then be resolved directly here, perhaps even a lot of them indicating the corresponding wiki-section. But if it's a interesting problem or proposal, or if we can't not solve the problem, those of us who speak more than one language should port the question to the english forum, and when there appears a solution, port it from there to here in the original language.

Natürlich soll für jedes Problem ein eigenes Topic erstellt werden und wir können nur hoffen dass es den Anfragern gelingt aussagekräftige Titel zu setzen! Mit Titeln wie "Hilfeeee","Habe ein problem", "Dringede Hilfe nötig" ist nich viel anzufangen.

Die Idee [DE][ES][FR] voranzustellen ist nicht schlecht, obwohle ich glaube dass die meisten Forumsbenutzer mehrere Sprachen verstehen und deshalb eine solche Markierung nicht nötig ist. Ich verstehe den mehrsprachigen Forumsteil mehr in dem Sinne, dass die Besucher ihre Frage oder ihr Problem in ihrer Sprache formulieren können, was normalerweise weit verständlicher ist als ein unverstehliches English, und so besser zu einer klaren Antwort beitragen.

Einfache Anfragen können wir direkt hier beantworten oder auf die entsprechenden Wikistellen verweisen, interessante Fragen, Probleme und Vorschläge jedoch sollten wir Leser ins englische Forum portieren, ebenso wenn wir keine Lösungen für klare Fragen kennen. Falls dann im Englischen Forum eine Löesung erscheint, sollten wir diese dann wieder hierher in die Ursprungssprache übersetzen.

Notes about languages:
français = french
português = portuguese
deutsch = german
español or castellano = spanish
nederlands = dutch
svenska = swedish (almost understand well by danish and norwegian people).

with these languages (besides english and italian) we cover most of the european languages that use latin characters.
Most scandinavian people at least understands english. Perhaps That_stevens_Guy does not consider dutch as a language,
because most of them also know well english and/or german.

möglicherweise hast du bei der Neuinstalation vergessen, windows mitzuteilen womit ein flv geöffnet werden soll.

Archiv anwählen -> Offnen mit.. --> Programm auswählen. Ohne dies versucht windows erst gar nicht das archiv wiederzugeben.

Auch solltest du in der Konfiguration deines Browsers die Optionen zur Medien- und Bildwidergabe revidieren.

I created a testfolder music, linked to a subfolder of my vfs as a real folder, of 50 GBytes with more than 9000 files in about 460 folders - hfs works fine without any problem. with build #137
