have got a quite annoying problem with hfs since several days (the first problem ever with it): after I launch hfs I cannot see its window. There's the tray icon and a task visible in the taskbar but when I click on either of them to make the window come up nothing happens besides that the taskbar icon toggles on and off. The problem came up using 2.2d b152 but persisted when I tried older versions. I'm able to open any option window though. The "start minimized" option has no influence on the effect.

Right-clicking on the taskbar entry, the window-restore line is greyed out (only minimize is clickable). hfs is the only software having this problem. I can't really control who is or has been connected to my pc like this.

I wondered if the window could have slipped out of the desktop. I used ShellEnhancer to try to regain control over the window and in fact ShellEnhancer at least made the hfs window boundaries visible but not the window content. Hope there's a cure for that.

Anyway, thanks a lot rejetto for this great software!

Seems to be a windows-problem.
Save your .ini and .vfs files, then unistall hfs. After this, make a new install , look if hfs works, then try to recover your .vfs and .ini files and see what happens.

Thanks for your quick reply! In fact, I managed to solve the problem just a minute ago and quite easily: in the hfs.ini, among the 4 values of the window parameter, two of them were negative (can't imagine why!!). I just entered positive values there and now the window is back again. :)

I'm soooo happy ...

unfortunately the problem still reoccurs every time I use HFS. Each time the window values in the hfs.ini change automatically during hfs use to values that put the hfs window out of the visible desktop area. What process could change these values???

Maybe rejetto could check for sane values at startup?
